Where Are We Located?

The Mississippi River is centrally located in the heart of America. Her bordering states from north to south include: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. Travel by air to the Mississippi River Valley, takes approximately four hours from the west coast and three hours from the east.

Great River RoadThe Great River Road was established in 1938 as the national parkway of the Mississippi River. Follow the green Pilot's Wheel road signs that mark its route nearly 3,000 miles through 10 states.
Explorer Henry Schoolcraft was the first white man to locate and document the true source of the Mississippi River at Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota. The year was 1830.
